My current fave reads

Happy Sunday Ya’ll! This one’s going to be short and sweet but it’s on some of my new reads and my current faves. I used to be a very avid reader and part of my resolution this year is to read as much as I used to. I find reading to be a great way to disconnect and experience a few hours in a different person’s life, it’s also a great stress relief and I want to use it more this year. I started this year reading Rupi Kaur and it was such an amazing motivation and a great way to decide what direction to steer year in. It was a wake up call that showed me where I need to focus my energy on in the next couple of months and I fell in love with the poetry, as a matter fact I’m a little obsessed.  Pictured below is a Khalid Hosseini book that has always been one of my favorites, he’s definitely one of my favorite authors and I’ve read all his books and keep re-reading them because they are that amazing. As for Born a Crime and Wonder, I thought they’d be an amazing addition to my collection since they are so different from what I’d typically read and I haven’t read them yet since I just got them, but I’m very excited to read them. Another book not pictured here that I’m always reading is Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and it’s one of  my all time favorites, I remember doing a whole article on her in my first blog.(I was obsessed guys, still am a little) And as you can see my library isn’t full and thats because I created room for all the books I’m about to get this year. It’s not only going to be a year of self love, but also one of literary growth! What are your current fave reads?

Thanks for the love!

Faith Jassam.
