Hello! Hope you’ve all had an amazing week. Mine’s been great and relaxing because I’ve stayed very low-key all week. It felt great to just breath and not worry about my Instagram or snapchat or anything at all. I feel like we all need those days where we just disconnect from the world, from social media and just relax. I know most people freak out about this idea because they check their phones a lot but starting slow then progressing to no social media at all usually helps. It’s a form of therapy for anyone who just needs to escape the public and focus on themselves for a moment. So here’s a challenge, cleanse yourself of all the social media and experience the amazingness.
Okay onto this weeks’ outfit! I actually couldn’t decide which way to go with this weeks’ outfit so I styled it two different ways. One is a very basic everyday look and the other is a little dressier but both are centered on two staple pieces. First outfit is just a t-shirt with boyfriend jeans and to dress it up a little, I added some dusty rose heels and a thrifted hat that I absolutely love! I love simple tees because they are incredibly versatile and they are an amazing wardrobe staple. I also love the color of the one I have on just because dusty rose is such a gorgeous neutral that you can never go wrong with! The idea of styling this outfit two ways just motivates me to stop buying things that aren’t versatile. Of course I still have my statement pieces but on a college student budget, its more convenient to build my wardrobe out of staples.
T-shirt: H and M
Onto this second outfit which is more of a casual everyday look, I’ve paired a bomber with a t-shirt, some boyfriend jeans and these cute rose sneakers. When I first saw these sneakers I wasn’t so sure about them till I tried them on and thought they could be styled so many different ways. The bomber I think is a wardrobe staple as well just because it adds so much to an outfit even when you just have a t-shirt and jeans on!
